Information we process

• Cloudflare may process IP address, device, browser, request URL, timestamp, security events, and routing/performance log data to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare log retention depends on the Cloudflare plan and dashboard settings and is currently marked to be confirmed.
• The checklist uses tadpoleChecklistState in localStorage to save checked step IDs in your browser.
• The spoiler control may use spoilerRevealState in localStorage so the reveal state can persist in your browser.
• The analytics choice uses subnautica2tadpoleAnalyticsConsent in localStorage to remember Accept or Reject.
• If you accept optional analytics, we may use Google Analytics 4, Plausible, and Ahrefs Web Analytics for aggregated traffic and interaction insights.
• If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, URLs, source details, and correction or rights request context.

Information we do not intend to collect

The current site has no accounts, payments, uploads, comments, public user profiles, contact form, or backend database for personal guide data.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process functional browser storage to provide requested site features. We process optional analytics only with your consent. We process security and delivery logs for legitimate interests in operating, securing, and debugging the site. We process emails to respond to your request.

Retention

• Functional localStorage stays in your browser until you clear it or the site changes the storage key.
• Analytics cookies and events follow each provider’s retention settings and your browser controls.
• Email requests may be retained as long as needed to respond, keep an audit trail for correction/removal requests, and protect legal rights.
• Cloudflare security and access logs are retained according to Cloudflare dashboard settings, currently to be confirmed.

Analytics consent

Optional analytics scripts are not loaded until you accept the analytics notice. Rejecting analytics does not disable the local checklist. You can change your choice through the Cookie settings link in the footer or on the Cookie Policy page.

Children’s privacy

This site is a general fan-made guide and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain personal data processing, and to withdraw analytics consent.
